THE APPG ON THE METAVERSE & WEB 3.0 – CALL FOR PAPERS
A key objective for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on the Metaverse and Web 3.0 is to map, analyse, and forecast opportunities, issues, and risks in these novel spaces. Accordingly, the APPG will produce insightful policy recommendations for the attention of Parliamentarians and leading stakeholders in the form of a white paper. To this end, the APPG will be supported by an Advisory Group of Experts and draw upon various institutions and stakeholders, including industry leaders, technicians, operators, regulators, academics, and civil society campaigners, amongst others. In addition, the APPG will be holding several evidence sessions in Parliament where we hear from key contributors.
Today’s world is increasingly interconnected, and innovative technologies intertwine themselves interchangeably between the private and public spheres, presenting opportunities, challenges and risks that necessitate cross-party and cross-stakeholder dialogue and cooperation. The Metaverse and Web 3.0 spaces are growing exponentially, and a white paper is, therefore, a timely consideration to ensure innovation can be harnessed with a safe and sustainable environment that enables a climate of clarity and shared prosperity that leaves no one behind.
The APPG invites submissions from all with an interest in these spaces and with relevant areas of experience and expertise. The Metaverse and Web 3.0 technologies are conceptually and practically distinct; therefore, we advise that the contributors specify whether their analysis pertains to one or both. We have suggested topics that may assist your deliberation but also encourage submissions on any other relevant issues not listed below.
Submissions should be emailed to contact@appgmetaverseweb3.com in Word or PDF format, along with some brief information on your experience to date and, if applicable, the organisation or company you represent. Please include citations to any sources used in your submissions clearly using a consistent referencing style of your choice.
The deadline for submissions and expressing your interest in contributing to the white paper is Friday 27th January 2023.
